Reviews:

Dinner Show

I've seen Steve and the band a half dozen times and I really have to say, it feels like the old days in Vegas. A true performer with the style and grace you'd expect from a show of this type. Bring your someone special to the show and enjoy a memorable experience. I recommend this performance! From the throwback mic to the classic styling of the lead singer's clothing, this is more than some guy singing standards. This is a time travel journey where the showmanship and the singing together bends the universe to relive a time gone by. Truly exceptional.- Donna T. - Westport.

Dinner Show

I was at Donatella's last week for your dinner show in the dinning room and I must say my girlfriend and I were very impressed. It's very rare nowadays to have a great meal and see a class act such as yourself. Your vocal style and the band were both fantastic along with the choice of songs. We will defiantly be following you on your up coming shows. - Greg and Kim, Fairfield.

I’d like to thank you for the wonderful performance on Tuesday, July 10, 2007.  As usual your group draws in one of the largest crowds of our summer concert series. I’ll look forward to talking with you in December to book a date for 2008.  Please be sure to keep a Tuesday evening open for us. - Mary Markham Director of Recreation

Steve D’Agostino – Singin’ & Swingin’ Songs from The Great American Songbook.

Bio:

Steve D'Agostino has been performing for more than 20 years the songs form The Great American Songbook with an emphasis on the era from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin and Tony Bennett.  Steve began his musical training quite young. At the age of 8, he studied guitar and then jazz guitar with Tony Perone and Sal Salvador at the University of Bridgeport while still attending high school at St. Joseph in Trumbull, CT where he still resides today. By the age of 14, Steve was playing guitar with the University of Bridgeport Big Band called Collage under the direction on Gary Riggerio.

Singing began at 16 with his first band called Finesse back in the early 80's where Steve transitioned form playing guitar to vocalists. Steve's smooth phrasing on ballads and swinging style has taken him from Coast to Coast, performing in Las Vegas at the Paris Casino Hotel to Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT. Steve maintains the tradition of this music today adding his own flair without impersonating any of the great artists that came before him. Many say that he sounds like a cross between Sinatra and Darin, but Steve says that "To impersonate these greats would just be an injustice to the style of music. It is true that they did have a major influence on my singing style, but I try to perform the songs with my own style."

Steve performs with his quartet in many establishments in CT to stay close to his family which is very important to him.
